Our Story
Like many great ideas, BPM Bloodstock was established during 2020 lockdown. A lifelong love of harness racing, coupled with a commerce degree and a lot of extra time on our hands, led to the creation of BPM.
My love of harness racing started from humble beginnings. My grandad trained a couple and my father worked for the TrotGuide, so it was only a matter of time before I was involved in the industry. As a young child, I have fond memories of heading to Harold Park to cheer on Smooth Satin as he won the 2002 Inter Dominion. My most cherished memory was forcing my mum to take me to Harold Park in the school holidays to watch my dad’s horse Sable River win at 40/1. This moment, I will never forget.
Fast forward to 2020 and with the support of close family and friends, we were able to purchase our first NZ pacers, Delight N Gold and Mi Furioso Toro. They kick started BPM Bloodstock. From 18 starts in our first season (2020) we recorded 6 wins and 7 placings. From there, we have gone on to win multiple Group and Listed wins, but more importantly, we have brought in over 200 people to share our love of harness racing.
