Brendan Micallef is the General and Racing Manager of BPM Bloodstock. The 28-year-old has lived and breathed harness racing from as early as he can remember.He was born into a racing family with his great grandfather, grandfather and father Paul all involved in the sport in some capacity.
His father Paul has been a member of the media for nearly 40 years, working for publications National Trotguide, Daily Mirror, Daily Telegraph and Sportsman and is a recognised harness racing form analyst. Brendan has followed in his footsteps. His thorough knowledge of Harness Racing mixed with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Sydney University has allowed him to successfully set up BPM Bloodstock.
He spends countless hours every day studying videos of racing in New Zealand and trials to ensure he is being astute in his selection process.Brendan's prior occupation was coaching National Champion swimmers. His enthusiasm, dedication and passion is requiste for both roles as he wants the best for his young swimmers and potential owners.
